Job summary

Peaceful Pines Senior Living in Brookings, SD is seeking a Medication Aide to administer prescribed medications and assist residents with daily living activities in Independent Living, Assisted Living and Memory Care. You will document administration, monitor responses, and communicate with nursing leadership to ensure safe, compassionate care.

Qualifications

Licensed in South Dakota as a Medication Aide (or willing to complete on-the-job training).
Passion for working with seniors and caring for others.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Dependable, team-oriented, and service-minded.
Ability to provide care with patience, empathy, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations.
Accurately document medication administration in the MAR and required systems.
Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and overall response.
Communicate medication-related concerns or changes to nursing leadership.
Coordinate with nursing staff to support continuity of care and medication management.
Assist residents with activities of daily living as needed.
