Job summary

Good Samaritan in Canistota, SD is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living support. You will administer prescribed medications under supervision and assist with basic health needs and activities of daily living.

The role requires CMA/CNA certification per state requirements and active CNA registration; experience in long-term care is preferred. Day shift, full-time schedule, with a sign-on bonus available.

Qualifications

• CNA certification required/preferred per state.
• Successful completion of CMA/Medication Aide course per state requirements.
• Active CNA registration in state of practice or ability to obtain within 120 days.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse within scope of practice.
• Document care, med administration, behaviors, activity, and dietary outcomes.
• Collect vital signs and non-invasive specimens; support wellness and recreational programs.
