Job summary

Good Samaritan is seeking a Medication Assistant to provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under the supervision of a charge nurse. You will assist with daily activities, vital signs, and medication administration according to plan of care.

Applicants should have CNA/CMA certifications as required by state regulations; prior long-term care experience is preferred. Full-time position located in Canistota, SD with a day shift and 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma preferred but not required.
• Minimum age 18; prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Must have CMA/CNA certifications as applicable in each state listed (Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota).

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision.
• Administer prescribed medications as delegated by a licensed nurse.
• Assist with transfers, feeding, activities of daily living, and documentation of care.
