Job summary

ArchWell Health in Las Vegas seeks a Medical Assistant to support the PCP day-to-day, greet and room members, and perform routine diagnostic testing during appointments.

The MA will work closely with the care team, handling patient communications, recording vitals, and assisting with procedures and follow-up care. BLS certification and EMR experience are preferred, with phlebotomy experience being a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduation from a nationally accredited Medical Assistant program required.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience as a Medical Assistant.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers required.
• EMR experience (e.g., EClinical Works) preferred.
• Phlebotomy experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Conduct intake with patients, measure and record vital signs, take medical history and perform routine screenings.
• Greet and room patients; ensure questions are answered and concerns addressed for each procedure.
• Communicate with PCP, specialists and staff about patient conditions and changes.
• Change dressings, apply bandages, and assist with minor first aid under physician supervision.
• Ensure OSHA compliance and complete accurate documentation.
• Provide health coaching and follow up with patients via calls.
