Trinity Health in Des Moines, IA is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant to support patient care in a fast-paced clinic. You will prepare patients, collect vitals, assist with procedures, and document findings under physician supervision.

You will administer medications and immunizations as directed, schedule tests and appointments, maintain charts, and educate families. Strong communication, teamwork, and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Competenze

Completion of a medical assistant program accredited by CAAHP or ABHES.
BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
Proficient in Windows and MS Office.
Able to read/write English and communicate with patients.

Mansioni

Deliver patient care through preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation.
Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under provider direction.
Prepare and organize patient charts and document results.
Schedule procedures, labs, x-rays, and surgeries; provide pre- and post-surgery information.
Coordinate appointments and insurance pre-certifications; manage follow-ups.
Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to policies.
Educate patients and families; promote evidence-based resources.
Train and support new colleagues; cross-coverage as needed.
