Trinity Health in Iowa is seeking a Medical Assistant to support patient care through preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation. You will administer medications and assist with procedures, while coordinating schedules and maintaining accurate records.

Applicants should complete an accredited Medical Assistant program, obtain certification within a year, and maintain BLS. Strong communication and a patient-centered approach are essential.

Competenze

• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Must obtain CMA, RMA, NCMA, CMA-CA, CCMA, NRCMA, or NPCE MA within one year of hire.
• BLS certification within 3 months of hire.
• Mandatory Reporter abuse training within 3 months of hire.
• Proficient in Windows and MS Office.
• Ability to read, write, and understand English.
• Must demonstrate honesty, integrity, and caring to align with Trinity Health values.

• Deliver patient care through patient preparation, vital sign collection, and documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments, and immunizations under the direction of providers.
• Schedule procedures, labs, x-rays, and surgeries; provide pre- and post-surgery information.
• Maintain patient charts and documentation; ensure confidentiality.
• Assist in training new colleagues; cross-coverage as needed.
• Escalate non-routine issues to the practice manager or healthcare provider(s).
• Adhere to safety checklists and organizational policies.
