Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a Medical Assistant to provide high-quality patient care in a team-based outpatient setting. The role supports clinical and administrative operations, greets patients, records vitals, updates medication lists, and assists during visits.

You will work with providers to ensure smooth patient flow, accurate EHR documentation, and clear communication on test orders, referrals, and follow-ups, while upholding patient safety and PHI/privacy standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 6 months clinical classroom.

Responsibilities

• Through relationship development and care team coordination, contributes to the BIDHC patient, practice, and organizational goals. Develops long term empathetic relationships with patients, families and colleagues to contribute to patient care.
• Assists patient over the course of their visit: facilitates timely flow and informs patient and provider of any delay in a timely manner, engages with patient on visit reason, updates medication and allergy lists, reviews screening questions (i.e. PHQ-9), acts as liaison between patient and practice staff to ensure optimal flow and service delivery.
