The role includes greeting and preparing patients, documenting vitals, assisting with procedures, keeping exam rooms ready, and ensuring EMR accuracy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Completion of accredited Medical Assistant training program preferred.
• 0-1 years of related patient care experience preferred.
• BLS certification within 6 months of hire.
• MA certification or CNA/EMT/LNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and prepare patients; document vital signs and intake information.
• Support clinical procedures (EKGs, specimen collection, point-of-care testing).
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms throughout the day.
• Ensure accurate EMR documentation per clinical guidelines.
• Assist with scheduling, check-in, referrals, and patient instructions as needed.
• Communicate with providers, patients, and team about delays or follow-ups.
• Follow safety protocols and infection control standards.
• Support workflow and provider efficiency by anticipating needs.
• Escort patients to labs or ancillary services.
• Participate in specialized workflows (e.g., prescriptions, prior authorizations, disinfection).
