Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers, care for patients, and assist with procedures. You will document histories, take vital signs, and coordinate care across the team.

The role emphasizes direct patient interaction, medication administration, and education to improve health outcomes. Part-time, 12-hour day shifts, in Michigan, with opportunities for credentialed growth and ongoing CEUs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited/approved MA program and externship/internship.
• Credentialed MA (CEUs) and/or active state certification are preferred.
• EMT or Paramedic credentials are acceptable alternatives in Michigan.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care and serve as a liaison between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement initiatives and disease management programs.
