Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group seeks a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering patient care in Michigan. You will welcome patients, collect histories and vitals, assist with exams, and help coordinate care.

The role requires MA training or equivalent, EMT/Paramedic options, and active CPR. Day-one benefits and a collaborative, mission-driven environment are offered across Southeast Michigan.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• Completion of MA program, externship or internship.
• Credentialing through CMA/RMA/NCMA/CCMA/NRCMA/CMAC is preferred.
• CPR certification maintained if credentialed.
• State of Michigan MA licensure or eligibility is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vitals and information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures and testing.
• Administer medications and perform requested diagnostic tests.
• Communicate results and instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education for better outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
