Job summary

Trinity Health IHA Medical Group is seeking a compassionate Medical Assistant to support providers in delivering high-quality patient care in Michigan. You will work directly with patients, assist with exams, coordinate care, and help ensure a positive healthcare experience each day.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; completion of an approved MA program and externship/internship.
• MA Non-Credentialed: eligible for MA certification or EMT with MI license; CPR certification.
• MA-Credentialed: CMA, RMA, NCMA, CCMA, NRCMA, CMAC certifications.

Responsibilities

• Welcome and prepare patients for appointments.
• Collect and document patient histories, vital signs, and health information.
• Assist providers with exams, procedures, testing, and specimen collection.
• Administer medications and perform diagnostic testing as directed.
• Communicate test results and provider instructions to patients.
• Provide patient and family education to support better health outcomes.
• Coordinate care between patients and providers.
• Support quality improvement and disease management programs.
