Job summary

Bethesda Health Group in Missouri is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide basic nursing care, assess residents on admission and ongoing, and participate in care planning. You will document assessments, communicate changes to the IDT and families, and ensure interventions follow physician orders and Bethesda policies.

IV certification and CPR certification are required or obtainable within six months.

Qualifications

• Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in LPN licensure.
• IV certification required or willing to obtain within six months.
• CPR/AED certification required or willing to obtain within six months.
• Ability to assess basic nursing care needs of geriatric residents.
• Excellent communication with residents, families, and staff.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.
• Critical thinking skills are essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic nursing care and assist in resident assessment on admission and ongoing.
• Communicate significant changes in condition to the IDT and families.
• Document assessments accurately and timely.
• Participate in care planning and revise plans as interventions change.
• Administer medications and treatments following physician orders and policies.
• Ensure safe IV administration only if IV certified.
• Respond calmly during crises and monitor care plan delivery.
• Support QAPI initiatives and address problem areas.
