Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to prepare meals for residents according to approved menus and recipes, including those with dietary needs. The role supervises dietary staff in the absence of the Dining Services Director and ensures a clean, safe kitchen and accurate food temperatures.

Responsibilities include following recipes, portion control, proper food cooling and storage, timely menu substitutions with director approval, and attending in-service trainings and meetings.

Qualifications

• Experience in food preparation following approved menus and recipes.
• Ability to supervise dietary staff in absence of leadership.
• Commitment to food safety, cleanliness, and proper storage of leftovers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare meals per approved menus and recipes.
• Supervise dietary staff when the Dining Services Director is absent.
• Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen area and equipment.
• Monitor temperatures and ensure safe food handling and storage.
• Attend in-service trainings and staff meetings.
