Job summary

Harmony Senior Services is seeking a Cook to prepare meals per approved menus and recipes, considering residents' dietary needs. In the Dining Services Director’s absence, supervise dietary staff to keep kitchen operations running smoothly.

Responsibilities include preparing and presenting items, maintaining cleanliness, participating in required trainings, and ensuring safety and portion control. Must meet Serv-Safe standards and adapt to resident diets.

Qualifications

• Experience in dining services.
• Must be Serv-Safe certified, or willing to complete certification within 60 days of hire.
• Basic reading, writing, and simple calculations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes.
• Maintain a clean, orderly work area including floors.
• Participate in weekly cleaning routines.
• Report faulty equipment and chipped items to supervisor.
• Record food temperatures three times daily.
• Ensure leftovers are cooled, stored, identified and dated.
