Job summary

St. Croix Hospice is seeking a compassionate Hospice Aide in Atchison, KS. You’ll be a Certified Nursing Assistant working under a Registered Nurse to support patients in their home and ensure comfort and dignity.

Responsibilities include personal care, mobility assistance, meal support, and documentation, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and contributing to quality improvement activities. Must hold CNA license and pass background checks.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active CNA license in the state of practice.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability to pass background check and drug test.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
• Assist patients with mobility, transfers, and exercises as directed.
• Support meals, feeding, and light household tasks as needed.
• Monitor patient condition changes and report to RN Case Manager.
• Maintain clean, safe patient environment and HIPAA compliance.
• Support medication reminders and follow state regulations.
• Offer emotional support to patients and respite for families.
• Use equipment safely for patient care and participate in QA activities.
