Job summary

UnitedHealth Group is seeking a CNA Hospice Aide in Monongahela, PA to provide compassionate, hands-on care for patients and support for families during end-of-life care. You will help with daily living activities, promote comfort, dignity, and emotional well-being, working closely with the hospice care team to ensure care plans are followed.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant (CNA).
• CNA experience within the last two years is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with daily living activities to promote comfort and dignity.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient's status to the nurse.
• Follow written instructions for care as prescribed by a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by a nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.
