Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a dedicated hospice aide to provide compassionate in-home care in the Dauphin, Perry and Cumberland County area. You will assist with personal care, exercises, meals, and light housekeeping, under RN supervision.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant.
CNA experience within the last two years.
Current CPR certification.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Provides personal care services to patients.
Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to assist with ambulation, transfers, positioning, and light homemaking.
Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
Follows written care plans and assists with prescribed exercises.
