Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a PRN hospice aide to provide personalized care at patients’ homes. Must have an active PA CNA license and CNA experience within the last two years. Compensation ranges from $19 to $21 per hour with flexible PRN scheduling and benefits outlined in the ad.

Responsibilities include personal care, safety-focused transfers, meal support, and light housekeeping, all while documenting patient status and following the plan of care.

Qualifications

• Active PA CNA license required.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and body mechanics for transfers and ambulation.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and other environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care plans and instructions from a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by a nurse or therapist.
• Performs simple urine tests as part of patient monitoring.
