Job summary
Amedisys Home Health is seeking a compassionate hospice aide (CNA) to provide essential personal care to patients in Monroe and Pike Counties, with occasional coverage in Luzerne County. This full-time daytime role offers steady hours and benefits in a leading home health company.
You will perform safety-conscious personal care, meal support, homemaking, and status observations while following the nurse’s plan.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current state CNA certification and recent CNA experience.
- CPR certification required.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Hospice/home health experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provides personal care services to patients.
- Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to care tasks.
- Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding.
- Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
- Observes, reports, and documents changes in patient status.
- Follows written care plans prepared by a registered nurse.
- Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
- Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
- Other duties as assigned.
