Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking an experienced Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our compassionate care team in Greensburg, PA. You will work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse to provide personal care and comfort to patients in home or facility settings.

Ideal candidates hold a CNA, CPR certification, and 1 year of hospice or community health experience; California-specific requirements apply for eligible regions, and a valid driver’s license is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant.
• California CNA in good standing plus current HHA cert.
• Preferred 1 year experience in community health/hospice or medical/surgical environments.
• Minimum 75 hours of classroom and supervised training.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle.
• Willingness to submit to a criminal background check annually.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform personal care and attend to patient requests promptly.
• Provide patient and family with compassionate communication.
• Ensure safety and proper use of equipment.
• Assist with baths, oral care, and changing bed linen.
• Assist patients with dressing and feeding as needed.
• Take and record vital signs when ordered.
• Assist with mobility and transfers as directed.
• Support caregiver and observe patient conditions.
• Maintain clean, orderly living area and document care.
