Job summary

Amedisys, part of the Optum family of businesses, is hiring a Per diem CNA Hospice Aide to provide compassionate, hands-on care to patients and support for their families during end-of-life care in the home setting.

You will work with the hospice care team to ensure respectful, individualized care aligned with the care plan, including assistance with daily living activities, safety, nutrition, and emotional support.

Qualifications

• Current state CNA certification, CPR certification, and reliable transportation.
• Experience as CNA in hospice/home care is preferred.
• Per diem availability and flexibility for shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with daily living activities and promotes comfort and dignity.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Prepares meals and assists with feeding as assigned.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as needed.
• Records tasks and patient information accurately.
