Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a dedicated hospice aide to provide in-home patient care across Monroe and Pike Counties, with occasional coverage in Luzerne County. This full-time daytime role requires a PA CNA license and CPR certification, plus a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Qualifications

CNA certification within last two years.
Current CPR certification.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

Provides personal care services to patients.
Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to care techniques.
Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
Follows written instructions for personal care from the RN.
Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by the nurse or therapist.
Performs simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
Other duties as assigned.
