Job summary

Bristol Hospice is seeking an experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to join our hospice team. You will provide compassionate, patient-centered care under RN supervision, assisting with activities of daily living and comfort measures in patients' homes.

Ideal candidates hold current CNA/HHA credentials, a valid driver's license, CPR certification, and the ability to work autonomously with sensitivity to terminally ill patients and families. Competitive benefits and training are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in good standing.
• Current Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in good standing (California).
• Prefer 1 year of community health/hospice or medical/surgical experience.
• Licensed driver with insured vehicle and ability to meet state requirements.
• Willingness to undergo background check and CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care including baths, grooming, oral hygiene, and linen changes.
• Assist with dressing, feeding, and nutrition planning and shopping as needed.
• Take and record temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure as ordered.
• Maintain patient safety and assist with mobility, transfers, and ROM.
• Document plan of care and report changes to Case Manager.
• Deliver compassionate, respectful communication with patients and families.
• Adhere to care procedures, safety standards, and confidentiality.
