Job summary

ADP, Inc. is seeking a Home Health Aide to provide personal care for terminally ill hospice patients at home under the direction of the registered nurse. You will support families and assist in bereavement as part of the Hospice team following the IDG care plan.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate from an approved training and competency course.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing assistant experience preferred.
• Must meet Home Health Aide training and competency requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under RN supervision, provides essential personal care to hospice patient.
• Bath, mouth care, skin and hair care.
• Assist with bathroom needs and bed transfers as ordered.
• Provide range of motion exercises as taught by professionals.
• Perform incidental household tasks essential to patient’s wellbeing.
• Take vitals if assigned by RN.
• Offer emotional support to patient and family.
• Attend required inservice education and maintain competency.
