Job summary

Deaconess Hospice, part of the LHC Group, seeks a Hospice Aide/CNA to provide compassionate in-home care, supporting individuals to remain in their own homes. You will assist with daily living activities and monitor client status with EVV documentation.

The role requires personal care, household support, and the ability to adapt to diverse home environments while maintaining dignity and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or able to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders.
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs.
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client.
