Job summary

UnitedHealth Group's Deaconess HomeCare is seeking a Home and Community Based Services Aide to support clients at home and maintain independence. You will assist with personal hygiene, daily living activities, meal prep, and accompany clients to appointments.

Requirements include a valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 90 days). The role offers competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transportation
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
• Ability to function in any home situation regardless of age, race, creed, color, sex, disability, or financial condition of the client
