Job summary

Amedisys is seeking a hospice aide to provide compassionate, in-home care. This full-time day shift position emphasizes safety, patient comfort, and support for families in the home setting.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and reporting changes to the nurse. CNAs with recent experience and CPR certification are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification/registration.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to personal and supportive care tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals, assists with feeding, and performs related duties.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to the nurse.
• Follows written care plans prepared by a registered nurse.
