Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a hospice aide to provide compassionate in-home care across Indiana communities. This full-time, daytime role focuses on personal care, safety, and daily living activities in patients' homes, under RN supervision.

You’ll work with a supportive team, receive comprehensive benefits, competitive hourly pay ($18.00-$20.00), and opportunities for growth within a large national home health provider.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state certification (or registration) as a nurse assistant per state requirements.
• CNA experience within the last two years.
• Current CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and liability insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Applies safety principles and proper body mechanics to support care tasks (ambulation, transfers, ROM, positioning, household chores).
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals and assists with feeding.
• Performs homemaking and environmental services as assigned.
• Observes, reports and documents changes in patient status; report to primary nurse if unable to perform a task.
• Follows written instructions for personal care prepared by a registered nurse.
• Assists patients with prescribed exercises as instructed by nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests for sugar, acetone, and albumin.
• Other duties as assigned.

Skills
