Job summary

Amedisys Home Health is seeking a hospice aide to provide compassionate personal care in patients' homes. This part-time, day-shift role offers flexible scheduling and opportunities to assist patients in familiar surroundings.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, mobility, meal support, and documentation under the supervision of a registered nurse. A current CNA license and CPR certification are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current state CNA certification as per state requirements.
• CPR certification is current.
• CNA experience within the last two years.

Responsibilities

• Provides personal care services to patients.
• Assists with ambulation, transfers, ROM and positioning; performs homemaking tasks.
• Plans and prepares nutritious meals; assists with feeding.
• Observes and reports changes in patient status to nurse.
• Follows written instructions from the nurse before delivering care.
• Assists with prescribed exercises as instructed by a nurse or therapist.
• Performs and records simple urine tests when required.
• Other duties as assigned.
