Job summary

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide non-medical in-home support, one-on-one with clients who wish to age in place. You’ll assist with daily tasks, companionship, and safety, building meaningful relationships with seniors.

We offer flexible full- and part-time options, paid mileage between same-day shifts, ongoing training, and opportunities for advancement. A caregiver may join a nationwide team committed to quality, empathy and integrity.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to perform the duties of this position, including the ability to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Responsibilities

• Social companionship
• Support with a variety of daily living tasks such as feeding and medication reminders, bathing/dressing and personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, light cleaning, laundry and cooking/meal preparation and other care as needed
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance
