Job summary

HomeWell Care Services IN219 is seeking compassionate caregivers to provide in-home, non-medical support to seniors in the Northwest Indiana area. You will work one-on-one with clients in their homes, offering companionship, daily living assistance, and safe transportation as needed.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required, but CNA, HHA, or 6 months plus caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone
• Proof of current, negative, tuberculosis (TB) test (as required by the State of Indiana)
• Must be physically able to lift, push and pull approximately 25lbs
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation in addition to proof of valid driver's license and valid automobile insurance
• A compassionate heart for older adults
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Are mature, caring, punctual and reliable

Responsibilities

• Social companionship
• Support with daily living tasks such as feeding, medication reminders, bathing, dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry and cooking/meal preparation
• Transportation to appointments, errands and social outings
• Standby assistance with transfers
• Overnight safety assistance
