Job summary

HomeWell Care Services of NWI is seeking compassionate Caregivers to join our team, providing non-medical in-home care one-on-one to seniors who wish to age in place in their own homes.

You will work with clients individually, offering a variety of support tasks, with flexible scheduling and opportunities for advancement. Training and development are provided to ensure you can deliver care with empathy, excellence and integrity.

Qualifications

• No healthcare certification is required but CNA/HHA or 6+ months caring for geriatric, chronically ill, or disabled persons preferred.
• Experience with Dementia and Alzheimer's care a plus.
• Daily access to email, the Internet, and a mobile phone.
• Proof of current, negative TB test (as required by Indiana).
• Must be physically able to perform duties, including lifting ~25lbs.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of auto insurance.
• Compassionate heart for older adults.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Mature, caring, punctual and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Social companionship.
• Assist with daily living tasks such as feeding, reminders for medications, bathing/dressing, personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, dressing, light housekeeping, laundry and meal preparation.
• Provide transportation to appointments, errands and social outings.
• Standby assistance with transfers.
• Overnight safety assistance.
