Job summary

Access Personal Care Services, part of the Optum family of businesses, is seeking a Per Diem Personal Care Assistant to provide support and personal care to clients so they can remain in their own homes. You will help with activities of daily living, meal preparation, mobility, and medication reminders in a safe home setting.

The role includes live-in/nighttime services in some cases and requires a current driver’s license or reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Current CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides in-home assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, hair and denture care, dressing, and mobility.
• Assists with meals and feeding when required; prepares meals per client diet preferences.
• Reminds and assists with medications; accompanies clients to medical appointments and runs essential errands.
• Ensures a clean, safe home environment and safe use of equipment such as wheelchairs and lifts.
