Job summary

Optum’s Access Personal Care Services is seeking a Per Diem Personal Care Assistant to support clients at home, including personal care, hygiene and light household tasks. The role may involve live-in or sleep-over duties where applicable and travel to medical appointments as needed.

Requirements include a valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance, or access to reliable transportation. Preferred CPR certification, 6+ months home care experience, and flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Assists with activities of daily living: bathing, hair care, denture care, nail care, skin care, transfers, ambulation, dressing, medication reminders.
• Live-in and Sleep Over duties: secure home at night and be present during nighttime hours (Washington and Oregon may not provide this).
• Assists with household tasks essential to client’s personal care and errands, including appointments.
• Records temperatures, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure when ordered within training limits.
• Prepares meals per client diet; may assist feeding when required.
