Job summary

Optum's Access Personal Care Services is seeking Per Diem Personal Care Assistants to support clients at home, helping with daily living activities and personal care while promoting independence. You may assist with bathing, grooming, meal prep, medication reminders, transportation to appointments, and household tasks, with flexible hours and opportunities across communities.

Preferred candidates have CPR certification, 6+ months home care experience, reliable transport, and the ability to work

Qualifications

• Current driver's license and vehicle insurance, access to a dependable vehicle, or public transportation.
• CPR certification preferred or ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours to meet identified clients' needs.

Responsibilities

• Provides or assists clients with activities of daily living including bathing and grooming.
• Assists with household tasks essential to personal care and meals.
• Remains with client during nighttime hours where applicable; coordinates errands and appointments.
• Measures vital signs when ordered and documents findings as trained.
• Ensures safe home environment and proper use of equipment.
