Job summary

Elk Valley, part of the Optum family of businesses, seeks a Per Diem Aide to assist clients at home. You will provide personal care, help with daily living activities, and support household tasks for individuals to remain in their homes.

Qualifications include a valid driver’s license, CPR certification (or ability to obtain), and 6+ months of home care experience. Pay ranges $13–$20 per hour, with benefits and flexible hours based on full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• CPR certification or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• 6+ months of home care experience.
• Ability to work flexible hours and independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities (bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, medication reminders).
• Support household tasks, meal prep, accompany clients to appointments or errands.
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs and incidents; use EVV system.
• Ensure a safe environment; operate medical equipment and respond to client needs.
