Job summary

Addus Homecare in New Mexico is urgently hiring Flex Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and people with disabilities living at home.

The HCA - Core is on-call five days a week (including at least one weekend day), 40 hours weekly with 20 guaranteed; duties include personal care, light housekeeping, meals, transportation, and medication assistance. You must be 18+, pass background check, have reliable transportation, and work with limited supervision.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must have reliable transportation; driver’s license and proof of insurance if using a car.
• On-call 24 hour shifts; 5 days per week with at least one weekend day.
• Ability to work with limited supervision and follow written/verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Call office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meals, laundry.
• Transport client to appointments and errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client's condition.
