Job summary

Ambercare – an Addus family company is urgently hiring Home Care Aides (HCAs) to support seniors and people with disabilities in their own homes across Bernalillo, Moriarty and surrounding NM areas.

This Core role is on call for 24 hours with 40 hours per week, five days including a weekend day. Candidates must be 18+, pass a criminal background check, have reliable transportation, and demonstrate nurturing, independent work style while following care plans.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age and able to pass a criminal background check.
• Available for 5 days per week, including at least one weekend day.
• 40 hours per week with on-call (24-hour shifts).
• Reliable transportation; if traveling by car, valid driver6; license and proof of insurance.
• Caring, nurturing nature with ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Call office every morning for assignment.
• Follow care plans and report completed tasks.
• Assist with personal care (bathing, dressing, etc.).
• Provide or assist in routine house cleaning, meal preparation, and laundry.
• Transport client to doctors appointments, grocery store and other errands.
• Assist client with self-administration of medications.
• Observe and report changes in client9s condition.
