Job summary

UnitedHealth Group through Elk Valley and LHC Group seeks a Home and Community Based Services Aide to support a client at home with personal hygiene, daily living tasks, meal prep, and safe mobility, enabling them to stay in their own home.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, TN-specific training (75 hours, including 16 clinical hours in 3 months), and flexible hours; CPR certification is preferred and prior home care experience of 6+ months is valued.

Qualifications

• Current driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable transportation or access to public transit.
• TN: 75 hours of training including 16 clinical hours within first 3 months; qualified for basic services
• CPR certification or ability to complete within 90 days of hire
• 6+ months of home care experience
• Ability to work flexible hours

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assist with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, ambulation, and medication reminders
• Support household tasks, meal preparation, and accompany clients to appointments or errands as needed
• Monitor and document client condition, vital signs, and incidents; maintain confidentiality and use EVV system
• Ensure a safe environment, operate medical equipment properly, and respond promptly to client needs
