Job summary

StoryPoint Group is looking for a Caregiver/Medication Manager to provide caring and personal assistance for residents in our community and to pass medications as prescribed. You will assist residents with day-to-day activities and help maintain comfort, safety and dignity.

The role requires CPR and First Aid certification, with the ability to obtain Medication Manager certification on-site if needed. Prior healthcare or geriatrics experience is preferred, and we value compassionate, reliable

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to obtain Medication Manager certification on-site at community if not already certified.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience in Healthcare/Geriatrics or elderly population preferred.
• Desire to work with geriatric population.
• Training per state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Bathe and clean residents as needed (bed bath, shower, whirlpool).
• Follow medication administration protocols for each resident.
• Assist residents with grooming and personal care tasks.
• Make beds, change linens, and keep rooms neat.
• Answer emergency calls promptly.
• Assist with bedpan/urinal/bedside commode as needed and monitor continence.
• Take vital signs and report abnormal results to nurse/director.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, ROM, and positioning.
• Respect privacy and residents' dignity per rights.
• Plan and participate in resident activities and care.
• Assist in admissions, transfers and discharges.
• Complete daily assignment sheets as instructed.
• Follow universal precautions and infection control.
• Report accidents, abuse, or concerns immediately.
• Maintain equipment and supplies in proper condition.
• Perform day-to-day housekeeping duties.
• Respond to emergencies and perform other duties as assigned.
