Job summary

Foundation Partners Group is seeking a Transfer Care Specialist in Lacey, WA. You will be the families' first contact as you transport the deceased from nursing facilities, hospitals, or residences to the funeral home, maintaining composure and compassion in challenging situations.

Required: a valid state driver’s license with a clean record, ability to lift 100 lbs, familiarity with Microsoft Office, and willingness to work on-call hours including nights and weekends. Pay is $20–$23 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid state-issued driver’s license with a clear driving record.
• Ability to lift 100lbs safely.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Composure and compassion.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and receive/apply constructive feedback with a positive attitude.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective internal and external work processes.

Responsibilities

• Compassion & Empathy: Direct Families to resources on arrival and departure for transfer of the decedent.
• Safe Transport: Navigate local roads and highways; be familiar with GPS or direction apps.
• Reliability & Availability: On-call; include nights and weekends; drive hearse as needed.
• Meticulous Attention: Ensure paperwork is completed correctly and timely per laws and regulations.
• Critical Thinking: Manage multiple tasks and determine the ideal order to complete them.
• Professional Demeanor: Maintain neat appearance; perform other duties such as washing vehicles.
