Job summary

SCI is seeking a Funeral Support Specialist to assist with funeral home and cremation duties, including first call removals, casketing, and service support. The role requires professional interaction with families, lifting up to 75 pounds, and on-call weekend work, with driving and office tasks as needed.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid driver's license. Experience in customer service or funeral services is a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely drive company vehicles for first call removals and transport.
• Assist with casketing, dressing and handling deceased items.
• Greet and assist families; answer phones courteously and professionally.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and PPE supplies; follow chain-of-custody procedures.
• Work with funeral directors and assist during services and visitations.
• Rotate on-call, including weekends; travel locally and possibly out-of-area.
