Job summary

SCI is seeking a Funeral Attendant in Oceanside, CA. The role involves preparing the deceased and ceremony spaces, greeting families, and assisting with transportation and post-service tasks. No prior experience is required, but a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are necessary. Part-time hours may apply with a 401(k) benefit.

Responsibilities

• Prepare casket and deceased for visitation or funeral services.
• Prepare rooms for services, including chairs, tables, and guest materials.
• Greet visitors, provide programs, and answer questions.
• May serve as pallbearer or assist with transport of the deceased.
• May drive families to cemetery site and return items after services.
• Assist with preparation of memorial materials and post-service cleanup.
