Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Customer service experience preferred; funeral service experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Safely drives company vehicles for first call removals, to transport the deceased to the funeral home or other location.
• Follows processes for chain-of-custody, paperwork and deceased identification.
• Interacts with bereaved families courteously and professionally and assists with services as requested.
• Assists Funeral Director with dressing and casketing of the deceased and related tasks.
• Drives the hearse or other vehicle in funeral processions and related activities.
• Performs various tasks during funerals and visitations to ensure services run smoothly.
