Job summary

Service Corporation International is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant in Phoenix for part-time support of funeral operations. You will assist with services, greet families, manage clerical duties, and help coordinate visits and ceremonies with care and professionalism.

The role requires a high school diploma, prior customer service experience, and a valid driver’s license. Flexibility for days, evenings, and weekends is expected, with proficiency in MS Office and basic database use.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; willingness to learn required.
• Valid state driver’s license with acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services including setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Answers phones courteously and handles information requests for funeral and cremation topics.
• Assists with respectful preparation of remains and basic ceremony tasks as directed by management.
• Performs office duties such as answering phones, operating multi-line systems, faxing, and basic clerical tasks.
• Drives Funeral Home vehicles for services and family transport as needed.
• Greet and assist client families entering the office for information and assistance.
• Support visitations, memorial and funeral services including setup and coordination.
