Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services by delivering and setting up floral items, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes.
• Handle service-related documents for cremations, maintenance and arrangements.
• Assist in respectful preparation of remains per regulations and policies.
• Perform general office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, typing, postage and office equipment.
• Run errands for supplies and floral deliveries.
• Serve as an usher and assist with parking or transportation as needed.
• Move funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensure refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assist with visitations and funeral services, including setup and dressing of remains.
• Greet client families and provide information at the office.
