Job summary

sci is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and frontline support for funeral operations in Texas. You will greet families, coordinate service details, and assist with transport and setup to ensure respectful, smooth ceremonies.

The role requires compassion, strong communication, and basic MS Office skills; prior customer service experience is preferred. Training is provided, and adherence to policies is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for services: floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos, keepsakes.
• Prepare documents related to services, cremations, maintenance.
• Assist with dressing and handling remains; operation of crematory as allowed by law.
• Answer phones and operate office equipment and systems.
• Run errands for supplies and deliveries.
• Serve as usher and assist with transportation, including parking.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family transport.
• Ensure refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Greet families and provide information at the office and during visits.
