Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service and/or sales experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases preferred; ability and willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services including arranging and setting up floral items, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes for client families.
• Prepares documents related to services and cremations.
• Assists with remains preparation and handling per law and company policy.
• Performs office duties: phones, fax, computer, multi-line phone system, debit machines, and other equipment.
• Run errands for supplies, flowers, or documents.
• Serves as an usher and may assist with parking or transportation for services.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family transportation.
• Ensures refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assists with visitations, chapel setup, dressing and casketing remains.
• Greets client families entering the office and assists with information.
• Accommodates family needs during services and visitations.
• May wash and clean funeral home vehicles as required.
