Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to provide clerical and administrative support for funeral operations and assist on services. You will greet families, handle information requests, answer phones, and help with arrangements under supervision.

The role requires compassion, strong communication, and the ability to drive company vehicles as needed. High school diploma required; prior customer service preferred; proficiency with MS Office essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience in customer service preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and databases preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares for services by delivering and setting up floral arrangements, chairs, caskets, urns, photos and keepsakes; ensures proper care and storage.
• Prepares documents related to services, cremations and maintenance as directed by management.
• Assists with respectful preparation of remains, including dressing and lifting as permitted by law and company regulations.
• Answering phones and operating office equipment and systems.
• Run errands for floral delivery or supplies and documents.
• Acts as usher, parking support or transportation as needed.
• Drives funeral home vehicles for services and family transport.
• Ensure refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assist with visitations, memorials and funerals: set up, dressing remains, deliver items.
