Job summary

3M HEALTHCARE is seeking a Funeral Services Assistant to support funeral operations in New Jersey. You will greet families, assist with ceremonies, manage floral and keepsake items, and coordinate service logistics with compassion and care.

You will handle office duties, prepare service documents, and cooperate with management to ensure dignified, compliant ceremonies and smooth operations for client families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office suite and databases; willingness to learn required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with funeral services by setting up floral arrangements, caskets, urns, photos, and keepsakes.
• Prepare documents related to services and cremations as directed by management.
• Assist with respect­ful preparation of remains and operation of crematory, as permitted by law and company policy.
• Perform office duties: answer phones, operate fax, computer, multiline phone system, and other equipment.
• Run errands for flowers, supplies, documents, and related items.
• Serve as usher; may assist with parking and transportation for services.
• Drive funeral home vehicles for services and family pickups.
• Ensure refreshments are available where allowed by law.
• Assist with visitations, memorials, and funeral services including setup and delivery of items.
